The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has issued an Office Order (No. 139/2024), dated 11th September, 2024, reminding all parties involved in video conference (VC) hearings to strictly adhere to the instructions previously issued in Office Order No. 020/2024, dated 5th February 2024. The key instructions include:
- Joining Process: When joining the VC, participants must provide their item number, name, and role (Appellant, Respondent, or Party-in-Person). If it’s for mentioning, they should enter “Mentioning-Name.”
- Video and Mic Settings: Participants should keep their video off and microphone muted upon joining. The video should only be turned on, and the mic unmuted when their case is called for hearing.
- Compliance: All participants are requested to follow these guidelines to avoid causing disturbances during court proceedings.
The order aims to ensure smooth and disturbance-free video hearings.
